The Warrior: Part 5
Signs That You Are in Inflated Warrior
As with all self-awareness work we undertake in Sovereign’s Journey, our first step is to become aware of when we are acting in a particular archetypal way. If we want to change, we need to be aware of how we are behaving…
If you are behaving in these following ways, you can accept that you are in the Inflated Warrior archetype:
you respond forcefully to get your way or exert control
you are addicted to struggle and feel that it gives you an identity of feeling powerful and effective
you turn many disagreements into a confrontation
you need to win, be right or have the last word
you see compromise as weakness
you confuse your aggression with strength
you use anger to intimidate or control
you push yourself and others relentlessly
you have difficulty resting, receiving or being vulnerable
you are quick to judge weakness—in yourself and others
you believe that problems are solved by applying more force
you defend your position long after you should
you become rigid, uncompromising and emotionally shut down
you experience tenderness, uncertainty or sadness as threats to your power
you attack when you feel challenged, disrespected or powerless.
Underlying all of this is a belief that if you are not strong, you will be defeated…
So, what should we do with this part of us?
If you would like to find out, come and join us on our next Sovereign’s Journey Zoom workshop session at 7 pm on Tuesday 22nd September.
